SCG Awarded Subcontract on CMS´s Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Practice Improvement and Measures Management Support (PIMMS) Project
Signature Consulting Group (SCG) was awarded a subcontract to support General Dynamics on the Practice Improvement and Measures Management Support (PIMMS) project in the fulfillment of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services´ (CMS) objectives outlined in the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). The MIPS program promotes better care, healthier people, and smarter spending through evaluation of eligible clinicians by using a Composite Performance Score (CPS) that incorporates the eligible clinician´s performance on quality, resource use, clinical practice improvement activities (CPIA), and advancing care information.
SCG and General Dynamics will provide CMS with implementation support related to quality measures and the CPIA selection for annual rulemaking; quality measures and CPIA analysis and monitoring; review and recommendations for approval of Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) measures; and support physician comparative reporting sites.
SCG remains on the forefront of inventive payments and value based healthcare driven transformation with five Federal contacts focused on MACRA/MIPS and representation on the 22 member Technical Expert Panel (TEP) for the CMS Quality Measure Development Plan (MDP).
