HHS Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Awards Signature Consulting Group eLearning Community and Collaboration Portal Development Contract
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded a prime contract to Maryland-based Signature Consulting Group (SCG) to develop, implement, market, create and administer classes in public health for HRSA’s National Health Service Corps (NHSC) program´s 20,000+ nurses and clinicians across the country in underserved communities of need.
HRSA’s vision is for SCG to design and develop a public health community and collaboration learning portal that connects health professionals in underserved communities and supports efforts to build more integrated and sustainable health care systems. The proposed platform is intended to extend professional communities beyond their physical location so they can collaborate, share knowledge and experiences with a connected community and subject matter experts; thereby, contributing to the collective improvement of public health knowledge and delivery. The HRSA Learning Community will provide virtual networking and discussion opportunities; online training and continuing education; a suite of collaboration tools such as Discussion Forums, Webcasts, Blog, Wiki, Chat and IM; and reference resources and tools for NHSC clinicians and alumni to address the challenges they face as primary care providers working with communities of need.
