SCG Awarded Prime Contract for the Claims Summary Information Project O&M by HHS Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
The Center for Program Integrity, under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), awarded a prime contract to Maryland-based Signature Consulting Group (SCG) to provide the Claims Summary Information Project (CSI).
SCG will implement the transition of Health Care Information System (HCIS) to CMS’s data warehouse through the One PI Portal using the CMS Integrated Data Repository. HCIS is a system of aggregated CMS Medicare Claims data presented through a series of easy-to-use screens and reports for quick navigation through immense volumes of CMS data, which is used to satisfy a variety of business purposes. The objective of the CSI Project is to contain aggregated Medicare claims data for all provider bill types covering Part A and Part B payments. CSI will transform HCIS from a niche product used primarily for fraud and abuse detection and investigation to the forefront of information products within the CMS data warehouse.
