SCG Presents CMMI Quality Measure Assessment System at ACOs´ 2013 Meeting
Signature Consulting Group Presents Innovation Center Quality Measure Assessment System at the Accountable Care Organizations 2013 Meeting
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), awarded a prime contract to Maryland-based Signature Consulting Group (SCG) to develop, implement, and maintain the Pioneer Accountable Care Quality Measure Assessment Tool (QMAT) data collection and performance reporting application.
As the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Pioneer QMAT Systems Contractor, SCG developed and presented 508 compliant screens and reports uniquely tailored to the requirements and data interfaces of the CMS ACO Pioneer Demonstration Model. The dual purpose of the QMAT system is to build a CMMI Demonstration Model Business Application that can be adapted and reused for the implementation of future CMMI Demonstration Model projects.
About Accountable Care Organizations
The goal of an ACO is to deliver seamless, high-quality care for Medicare beneficiaries instead of the fragmented care that often results from a fee-for-service payment system that provides incentives based on the volume of services rather than care outcomes. An ACO is responsible for maintaining a patient-centered focus, developing processes to promote evidence-based medicine, reporting on quality, and coordinating the cost of care.
