Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Awards Signature Consulting Group an Independent Verification and Validation for Payment Accuracy, Error Audits, and Security Assessments
MAR. 23, 2022
BALTIMORE, Md.—The Centers for Medicare (CM), under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), awarded a prime contract to Signature Consulting Group (SCG) to serve as the Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) contractor for the Risk Adjustment Data Validation (RADV) program. SCG will be ensuring the quality and assisting in the auditing of medical record review to validate the accuracy of risk adjustment data for Part C payments and the payment errors audits related to the Part D payment accuracy of sampled Prescription Drug Event (PDE) records. SCG has developed a set of rapid agile test automation tools that will be used to expand testing capacity and verification effectiveness to the RADV Audits.
The Risk Adjustment Data Validation (RADV) processes and associated audits are vital to the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 (MMA) and Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) mandated programs in estimating the national payment error and contract-level risk adjustment for Part C and the low income cost sharing and reinsurance subsidy payments for Part D.
“We appreciate CMS’s confidence in our ability to respond quickly to changing demands while providing high quality testing and data verification services for CDAT-M. We will continue to exceed expectations and be a trusted partner to the RADV Audit Team as we perform this work”, said Cora Hutchinson, SCG Program Manager.
