HHS CMS Awards SCG three Medicaid Data Strategy Implementation ContractsHHS Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Awards Signature Consulting Group three Medicaid Data Strategy Implementation Contracts
The Centers for Medicaid and Chip Services (CMCS), under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), has awarded three prime contracts to Maryland-based Signature Consulting Group (SCG) to provide data analysis/architecture and build program level data change management in support of the Medicaid and CHIP Business Information Solutions (MCBIS) for Medicaid and CHIP Data Environment (MACDE).
The goals of the MCBIS data strategy and MACDE data environment are: (1) create an integrated repository of the Medicaid and CHIP data; (2) create a data driven culture change improving performance and accountability across the agency; (3) ensure compliance with the Accountable Care Act (ACA) regulation to remove redundancy and effort in CMS and State Medicaid and CHIP operations; and (4) support more robust program integrity efforts.
As part of the three contracts awarded, SCG will continue working with state and CMS stakeholders to manage the T-MSIS Operational Medicaid data dictionary, state data mapping and loading, data edits and rules and application and repository infrastructure planning. With the addition of the new contracts, SCG will provide Medicaid enterprise level data integration analysis across the Medicaid Master Data Management (MDM) Models to bring together the Medicaid operational and program data and change management process. Additionally, SCG will provide a deeper level of state data mapping, load, rule-engine edits and data dictionary management.
