Signature Consulting Group Awarded Subcontracts on CMS´s One PI and Open Payments Programs
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded Signature Consulting Group (SCG) multiple subcontracts to support Optum on the One Program Integrity (One PI) project and CGI Federal on the Open Payments Program in the fulfillment of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) objectives to preserve the Medicare Trust Fund and protect patient safety. SCG will leverage its deep competency in building healthcare fraud, waste and abuse prevention systems and analytics for application of big data warehousing and BI tools in support of these mission-critical programs.
"These awards demonstrate SCG capabilities in program integrity," said SCG CEO, Corey Cooke. "With SCG´s five prime contracts at CPI already, I look forward to our continued support of CMS fraud, waste and abuse prevention efforts as the agency shifts to quality and value based pay-for-performance purchase models."
One PI provides "one-stop-shopping" for fraud-fighting data analysts with data from the Integrated Data Repository (IDR) and analytic tools that can be accessed via the One PI Portal. COTS analytic tools that have been made available in One PI are SAP BusinessObjects (BO), SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) and STARSInformant (STARS). The Open Payments Program was created by Section 6002 of the Affordable Care Act, also known as The Physician Payments Sunshine Act. Its mission is to create transparency into financial relationships and other transfers of value between pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), teaching hospitals and healthcare providers.
